The history of EGT started out in 2002, in Bulgaria. This company started developing content for the casino industry, but it wasn’t until 2007 that they got their big break. Bulgaria joined the European Union then, so they had easier access to those markets. Almost two years later, in the autumn of 2008, they expanded by getting their own facility. They currently have over 830 employees there. The company has continued to expand to new markets, going to America and to Asia in time. The latest countries in which EGT games have arrived include South Africa, Panama and France. Currently, there are over 85 countries worldwide where their games are accessible to players.

In terms of EGT online slots, because that’s what interests us most, there are 170+ titles in their collection with a very good mix of themes. Some are more original than others when it comes to the topics that are being approached, but I’ve found plenty of best slots in there. Some of my favorites, in terms of themes at least, will be exploration games like 20 Super Hot, funny titles like Penguin Style, and even a game like Versailles Gold that reminds me of the novels of Alexandre Dumas.

That doesn’t mean that there are only great themes chosen for EGT games online. There are many that I haven’t enjoyed because they covered topics that are way too common already in the industry. Games like Flaming Hot, Extra Stars and Grace of Cleopatra are good examples of that sort of boring theme.

Graphics

Overall, I have to say that EGT doesn’t come close to other developers when it comes to graphics quality. They have their fair share of decent looking symbols, but the interface that surrounds them doesn’t put it all together in a good way. Instead, they have awkward buttons to use, with five different spin buttons present, each one with its own type of wager. The fact that they have a lot of poker cards present on the reels is another thing that bugged me, since it takes away a lot from the experience, especially when the developer doesn’t make the effort to give those symbols the right look for the chosen theme.

As I said, you can see it in the themed symbols that they could’ve done better, but they probably were satisfied just with porting the land based EGT slot machines to the online market.

Features

They seem to do better where the features are concerned, than with the graphics. By looking at multiple EGT slot games of theirs, you will start noticing a pattern, where the developer will often have more than two or three features included. I’ve seen games that offer wilds (regular or expanding), multipliers, bonus games, scatters and free spins, even all in one place.

EGT Slots RTP and Payouts

I haven’t found EGT to be shy about using large payouts, or about adding multipliers to improve the jackpots when they seem too low. Payouts of 5,000x and 10,000x seem to be the norm, and in plenty of situations there will be further multipliers that can improve their value.

There are even some online games which offer progressive jackpots, four of them usually, and shown at the top of the screen. They seem to be associated with the four card suits, and they range from three to five figures in value.
